The Adams Chapter of Trout Unlimited, a charitable organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and enhancement of local coldwater resources, is accepting grant applications for river restoration or stream habitat enhancement activities.
The Adams Chapter is comprised of 350+ members who fish for trout and salmon in local “coldwater” rivers. The Chapter is primarily concerned with the Boardman, Upper Manistee, AuSable, Platte and Betsie Rivers, although other, and smaller, coldwater streams are of equal interest. The Chapter is accepting grant applications up to $2,500 for restoration or stream habitat activities. The recipients will be announced at the Adams Chapter 21st. Anniversary Coldwater Celebration held April 22, 2017 at the Hagerty Center, Traverse City. Applications must be post-marked by Wednesday March 22, 2017. Emailed applications will be accepted until 5:00 pm on March 22, 2017.
The application must be limited to two pages and include:
Sponsoring Organization (including contact information)
Description of activities and expected outcomes
GRANT DURATION ~ 12 Months
Minimum one page written report or oral report at a Chapter Meeting due upon completion of grant.
ELIGIBILTY NOTE: IF YOU RECEIVED A GRANT FOR THE PREVIOUS YEAR YOUR REPORT MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO MARCH 22, 2017 OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A 2017 GRANT
