About the event
Known as "Phase II" of the larger in-stream wood habitat projects at Brown Bridge, this is the reach located just a few hundred yards upstream of the dam berm. Not long after the project was completed, with the city's permission, the Conservation District cut small diameter (2-4") trees from the adjacent aspen thickets to serve as "micro-slash" within the interstitial areas of the larger, locked-in components of the structures. While the added slash served well for many years (invert habitat, predator cover, etc), much of it has broken down and/or slowly lifted and carried away downstream...returning the structures to a somewhat open, bare, and incomplete state. Follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram for more details as they become available.
